Program Description: This is a comprehensive 6 week program that will enable members to be theory ready to challenge the Interprovincial Red Seal Exam and then placing them as an employee of preference. This program offers an extensive portfolio of theory covers the following objectives;

- National Occupational Analysis for the Carpenter Trade
- National Building Code
- Building Materials
- Tools & Equipment
- Construction Safety
- Construction Documents and Quantity Surveying
- Building Science Principals and Trade Mathematics
- Site layout
- Construction Access and Temporary Structures
- Form Work Theory
- Frame Structure Theory
- Exterior Theory
- Interior Theory
- Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Construction math as applied to problem solving.
- Construction documentation interpretation for problem solving.

Program Duration: 6 Week(s)

Program Pre-Requisites: Members applying for this program must have the following pre-requisites;

- Must be on EI, eligible for EI, or have received EI in last 3 years
- If not eligible under EI a member can pay their own tuition, or the program may be funded by the Training Trust Fund
- Must be approved by the Provincial Apprenticeship Branch to challenge the Interprovincial Red Seal Exam for Carpentry
