Program Description: This is a comprehensive 6 week program that will enable members to be job ready placing them as an employee of preference. This program offers an extensive portfolio of practical hands-on experience and covers the following objectives;
- Layout footings
- Rebar placement, tie and cut
- Construct different types of independent footings
- Layout, erect, align and brace forms
- Pour, place and control concrete
- Strip, clean and maintain forms
- Concrete stair systems
- Form, pour and dismantles columns, piers, pilasters, finish slabs
- Cure and cut concrete
- Layout beams, wing walls
- Erect deck, job build and manufactured forms
- Layout bearing blocks
- Form, pour and dismantles columns, piers, pilasters
- Finish, cure and cut concrete
Program Duration: 6 Week(s)
Program Pre-Requisites: Members applying for this program must have the following pre-requisites;
- Fall Protection
- WHMIS
- Must be on EI, eligible for EI, or have received EI in last 3 years
- If not eligible under EI a member can pay their own tuition, or the program may be funded by the Training Trust Fund
