GE Gas Turbine Familiarization

Program Description: This is a comprehensive 3 week program that will enable members to be job ready placing them as an employee of preference. This program offers an extensive portfolio of practical hands-on experience and covers the following objectives;
- Describe and identify components of a gas turbine
- Describe inspection types and intervals.
- Explain factors effecting turbine life.
- Setting elevation with optical level & checking calibration
- Grouting
- Shaft alignment
- River Hawk coupling bolts
- Hytorc bolting
- Micrometer reading
- Pant leg washers
- Wire tying
- Garlock gaskets
- Tubing fittings
- Use optical level.
- Align shafts with laser alignment kit.
- Use Hytroc bolt tensioner.
- Measure with a micrometer.
- Crush washers following standard work practices.

Program Pre-Requisites: Members applying for this program must have the following pre-requisites:
- Must be on EI, eligible for EI, or have received EI in last 3 years
- If not eligible under EI a member can pay their own tuition, or the program may be funded by the Training Trust Fund
